Title: RN – Ambulatory (Pediatrics)
Location: Syracuse, New York
Duration: 18 weeks
Shift: Day Shift, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM; 8-hour shifts, 5 days/week (40 hours/week)

Weekly Gross: $2800-$3000(Based on experience)

Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care to pediatric patients in an outpatient/ambulatory setting.
• Perform patient assessments and routine pediatric nursing care.
• Administer immunizations and provide vaccine-related care.
• Perform hearing and vision screenings.
• Perform TB placement and reading.
• Apply knowledge of the Vaccines for Children (VFC) program.
• Perform straight catheterization and ear flushing as needed.
• Document patient care accurately using Electronic Medical Records (EPIC).
• Collaborate effectively with physicians and other healthcare team members.
• Provide patient care with minimal orientation and supervision.

Requirements:

• Current New York State RN registration/license required.
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required.
• Recent outpatient pediatric experience required.
• Minimum 1.5 years of recent experience within the past 2 years in an acute care facility of similar size and level preferred/required per general qualifications.
• BLS certification required and must be eligible for recertification.
• EPIC Electronic Medical Records experience preferred.
• Level I trauma hospital experience highly desired.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Professional license/certification must be in good standing.
• Must have legal authorization to work in the U.S.
• Must successfully complete pre-employment health clearance, drug screening, and criminal background check.
