Primary Job Title: Business Systems Analyst

Location: Owings Mills, MD

Onsite Flexibility: Hybrid - 2 days per week in office

• Pay Rate: $60.00-$72.00 / Hour (USD)
• Shift / Schedule: Daily stand-up at 9:30 AM

Job Summary:

The main function of a Business Systems Analyst is to perform the analysis, design, implementation, modification, and daily functional support of all applications. This role is focused on Adobe Campaign, AJO, and Data Analysis with a Sr Business Analyst scope. The team runs additional campaigns around Adobe Campaign and requires ongoing maintenance work related to campaigns within Adobe. This is a small, collaborative team where members wear multiple hats in a friendly environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Works with key stakeholders within all business functions to align technology solutions with business strategies
• Gathers requirements from business units and translate those to programmers and developers
• Prepares cost-benefit and return-on-investment analyses to aid in decisions on system implementation
• Demonstrates an informed knowledge of business functions to resolve problems and capitalize on improvement opportunities
• Supports one or more highly complex business processes
• Works on multiple projects as a project team member
• Serves as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization in order to provide technical solutions to meet user needs
• Analyze data, define data requirements, and identify ETL outputs and issues
• Conduct manual testing and data validation

Required Skills:

• Adobe Campaign version 7 or 8 required
• 8-10 years of experience required
• Basic knowledge of programming languages in order to comprehend reading code and basic functions
• Ability to create business solutions that increase competitive advantage
• Ability to exercise good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
• Project management skills in order to handle diverse projects, often times simultaneously, and meet aggressive deadlines
• Ability to solve technical problems and processes and understand complex details
• Ability to increase operating efficiency with produce high quality technical solutions
• A high level of interpersonal and verbal communication skills necessary to relate to other people at their systems knowledge level
• Ability to analyze complex situations and problems and do the necessary research using multiple sources of information to arrive at innovative solutions
• Strong background in data analysis
• Ability to analyze data, define data requirements, and identify ETL outputs and issues
• Strong communication skills; able to work directly with business partners and developers

Preferred Skills:

• Adobe AJO (Adobe Journey Orchestration) preferred
• Adobe AEP (Adobe Experience Platform) experience strongly preferred
• Data analysis / ETL analysis preferred (such as data modeling, Informatica, SnapLogic, or other data analysis experience)
• Other Adobe Experience Cloud preferred (such as AEP, FAC, AJO, Analytics)
• Experience developing specifications for ETLs
• Familiarity with Adobe FAC (currently standing this up; experience is a plus)
• ETL tools: Informatica and SnapLogic experience is a plus
• Open to candidates with experience in other ETL tools as well
• Manual testing experience including developing test plans and test cases
• MBA or other related advanced degree preferred

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required

Work Environment / Physical Requirements:

• Small, collaborative team where members wear multiple hats
• Approximately 5 team members focused on campaigns
• In-office days can be Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday
• Interviews are likely virtual
• 1-2 interviews total: Initial phone screen with hiring manager, followed by panel interview with hiring manager and 2-3 additional technologists
