Mid-Level Data Scientist*100% On-site in Norco, CA*We are seeking a talented and driven mid-level Data Scientist to join our evolving and dynamic team. In this role, you will apply advanced data analytics and machine learning techniques to explore large, complex datasets for unknown trends and patterns regarding customer behavior, product performance, and operation efficiency to develop predictive models and support decision-making processes while adhering to the highest standards of security and confidentiality. You have a unique talent for finding answers to questions our customers never thought to ask by analyzing data in new ways to solve complex problems in a variety of domains.ResponsibilitiesAnalyze large and complex datasets to extract actionable insights that will inform business strategies and decisionsDevelop, implement, and maintain predictive models and machine learning algorithmsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutionsUse statistical methods, data mining, and machine learning to uncover trends and patterns within the dataPrepare reports and presentations that effectively communicate your findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersEnsure compliance with all security protocols and confidentiality requirements, adhering to industry standards and internal policiesSupport senior leadership in strategic decision-making through advanced data-driven insightsStay up-to-date with the latest developments in data science, machine learning, and related fieldsProvide technical guidance and mentorship to junior data scientists and analystsBasic QualificationsUS Citizenship RequiredActive Secret Security ClearanceBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or related fieldTwo to five years of experience as a Data Scientist or in a related data analysis roleProficiency in Python, R, or similar programming languages for data analysisWorking knowledge in machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn)Knowledge of SQL and experience with relational databasesMachine Learning experienceWorking knowledge and familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similarSolid understanding of statistical modeling, hypothesis testing, and data-driven decision-makingExcellent communication skills, with the ability to present technical findings to non-technical stakeholdersExperience working with Atlassian product and project management tools (Jira, Confluence)If applicable: If you are or have been recently employed by the U.S. government, a post-employment ethics letter will be required if employment is offeredPreferred Skills and QualificationsExperience working with classified government data or in a defense-related environmentFamiliarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.) and data processing toolsContinued education and knowledge of current and emerging AL/ML technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark)Experience with DevOps practices and version control (Git, GitHub)Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environmentCompany SummaryJoin the VSolvit Team!
