We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Front of House Assistant to support the delivery of high-quality food service operations and ensure an excellent customer experience across all catering areas. The Role The Front of House Assistant will play a key role in delivering a consistent, high-standard catering service. This includes supporting the preparation, presentation and service of food and beverages while maintaining a clean, safe and compliant environment in line with company and client expectations. Key Responsibilities Deliver a professional and efficient front of house service, ensuring a high standard of customer care at all times. Support the preparation, presentation and service of food and beverages in line with Sodexo standards. Serve customers during service periods, including operating tills and handling transactions accurately. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across all front of house areas, including counters, dining spaces and equipment in line with cleaning schedules. Ensure food is displayed and served in a clean, safe and compliant manner. Monitor and replenish stock levels across service areas to meet operational demand. Assist with deliveries, including checking goods and recording temperatures in line with food safety requirements. Record and report customer feedback, incidents or any irregularities to management promptly. Support special events and functions as required, and provide cover across different service areas when needed. Comply with all company and statutory regulations, including health & safety, hygiene, fire safety and COSHH. What We’re Looking For Previous experience in a catering or food service environment. Strong customer service skills, with a professional and approachable manner. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, standards-driven environment. Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. A proactive, reliable and hands‑on approach. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards. Experience operating tills and handling cash transactions. Knowledge of food safety and health & safety practices. Relevant training or qualifications in catering or hospitality. Additional Information This role requires flexibility to support a rotating shift pattern, including weekends, and to assist across different areas of the catering operation as required.
