Pay: $65K+ DOE, plus monthly bonus program is paid when company-wide monthly sales goal is reached (full-time).


Schedule : Monday - Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm

Onsite role reporting to headquarters in Hillsboro, OR

PRIMARY PURPOSE:

Oversee procurement activities for shop operations, including sourcing and purchasing materials, supplies, and tools,

managing vendor relationships, and coordinating subcontractor services to support production schedules and project

deliverables.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Coordinate and manage all subcontracted processing activities, including anodizing, plating, heat treating, and other outside services.
• Prepare, issue, and maintain purchase orders for materials, tooling, hardware, and subcontracted services.
• Source and procure raw materials, tooling, and hardware required to support production schedules and customer orders.
• Obtain, evaluate, and negotiate vendor quotations for pricing, lead times, and delivery requirements to ensure cost-effective purchasing decisions.
• Monitor order status and maintain regular communication with vendors and subcontractors to ensure on-time delivery and completion of work.
• Expedite materials and services as needed to prevent production delays and meet customer commitments.
• Receive, review, and process customer work orders and job documentation.
• Enter new customer jobs into the system accurately and promptly.
• Assemble work order packages, including blueprints, specifications, and supporting documentation, and distribute them to the appropriate departments.
• Track and coordinate the movement of parts sent to outside vendors for subcontract services.
• Address and resolve material quality, delivery, or service issues with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Monitor material and subcontract costs and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records, vendor information, and procurement documentation.
• Create and maintain Part Master data to ensure accurate inventory, purchasing, and production records.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, quality, and management teams to ensure procurement activities align with operational requirements.
• Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies, quality standards, and customer specifications.
• Perform other necessary duties and tasks as requested.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum 5 years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.

• Experience working in a machine shop, job shop, precision machining, metal fabrication, or production manufacturing environment strongly preferred.

• Proven ability to source materials and services, obtain competitive quotations, negotiate pricing and delivery terms, and manage supplier relationships.

• Strong understanding of manufacturing drawings, blueprints, specifications, and job travelers.

• Experience creating and managing purchase orders, maintaining accurate procurement records, and tracking supplier performance.

• Demonstrated ability to monitor inventory requirements, material lead times, and production schedules to ensure uninterrupted workflow.

• Proficient in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

REQUIRED PERSONAL SKILLS:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve material shortages, quality issues, and delivery concerns.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with vendors, subcontractors, customers, and internal departments.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in data entry, purchasing documentation, and Part Master maintenance.

• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with production, engineering, quality, and management teams.
