Global MSL Excellence Director

AstraZeneca

AstraZeneca seeks a Global MSL Excellence Director for Oncology to develop field medical strategy, lead cross-functional teams, and strengthen medical science liaison capabilities across global regions. This role requires extensive leadership experience in medical affairs and serves as the primary strategic advisor for oncology field medical operations.

Responsibilities

Define and govern oncology tumor-area field medical strategy and 12-24 month roadmap
Lead field medical leadership team to drive operational excellence across markets
Oversee tactical planning, execution, and measurable success tracking for field medical initiatives
Serve as primary point of contact and subject matter expert for field medical in cross-functional forums
Manage budget allocation, vendor relationships, and ensure compliance with global standards

Requirements

Advanced degree in life sciences, pharmacy, medicine, or related field
Extensive field medical leadership and oncology expertise
Strategic planning and cross-functional stakeholder management experience
Proven track record driving operational excellence and capability development
Knowledge of field medical compliance standards and risk management
Experience with clinical trial operations and medical insights strategy
