Material Handler
Location: Covington, GA (On-site)
Pay: $17.75/hr
Schedule: 1st shift — 6:00 AM–2:30 PM (overtime as needed)
Type: Contract / Temporary (40 hrs/week)
Position Summary
Seeking a Material Handler to support a kitting/manufacturing warehouse operation. This is a manual labor role (not forklift) focused on wrapping, staging, moving pallets, and maintaining a clean, organized work area.
What You’ll Do
- Retrieve finished-good pallets from lines, wrap , and store in the pending release area
- Move released pallets to the receiving aisle / staging locations
- Perform daily housekeeping: remove cardboard/trash, sweep floors, keep kitting area clean
- Pull pallets to production lines from staging areas
- Coordinate component movement with forklift drivers (you’ll work alongside them)
- Retrieve kitting labels from the front office daily (around 11:00 AM )
- Use a manual pallet jack to move inventory
Requirements
- High school education and/or equivalent experience preferred
- 1+ year of warehouse/manufacturing experience preferred
- Ability to safely perform physical work (standing, reaching, lifting up to ~20 lbs)
- Reliable, consistent attendance is required
Work Environment
- Manufacturing/warehouse setting
- Moderate to occasionally loud noise; near moving mechanical parts
