Job Title: Machine Operator Lead Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Machine Operator Lead to join our team. This role involves operating and setting up cold heading and thread rolling machines on either the 1st Shift (7:00am-3:30pm) or 2nd Shift (3:30pm - 12:00am), Monday through Friday. The position offers opportunities for overtime and a competitive hourly rate, with a differential for the 2nd Shift.

• Set up and operate cold heading and thread rolling machines with guidance from trainers or mentors.
• Work from detailed engineering drawings, process control documents, and work instructions to produce quality parts.
• Utilize precision measuring devices such as micrometers, dial calipers, optical comparators, and various gauges.
• Prepare dies for use in cold heading and thread rolling, troubleshoot machine malfunctions, replace worn tooling, and make necessary machine adjustments.
• Retrieve correct Job Packet(s) and access bill of materials from the shop floor computer.
• Install and remove tooling from machines using hand tools.
• Remove old wire stock and draw new coiled wire using an in-line wire drawer.
• Report faulty machine operations, defective materials, and other discrepancies to set-up persons or team leaders.
• Maintain proper machine oil levels and keep workplace area neat and orderly.
• Complete time, production, and quality reports as necessary.
• Communicate with operators from other shifts to exchange pertinent information.
• Observe all safety regulations and perform other duties as assigned.

• Mechanical and technical skills with prior manufacturing experience.
• Experience in machine operation, threading, and roll forming.
• Ability to read and understand engineering specifications.
• Proficiency with micrometers, calipers, comparators, gauges, and hand tools.

• Basic computer skills.
• Mechanical ability and familiarity with shop support equipment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Danboro, PA.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $33.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
