Overview
Speech Language Pathologist – Acute Care, Sitka, Alaska, US. Start date: 09/14/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: 3,284–3,443 per week. Guaranteed hours: 40 per week. Shift: 4x10 Days. This travel assignment is in an outpatient rehabilitation setting with a primary focus on general Speech-Language Pathology evaluations and treatments for adults and pediatrics.

Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive SLP assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans for patients across a broad age range in outpatient settings
- Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions to improve communication, swallowing, and cognitive-communication skills
- Monitor patient progress, document findings, and adjust plans of care as needed; communicate with referring providers and rehabilitation team
- Develop, supervise, and modify home exercise programs; educate patients and families to support independence and self-care
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary team to ensure appropriate equipment, discharge planning, and continuity of care
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with hospital standards, regulatory guidelines, and ASHA practice expectations
- May supervise support staff, students, or interns; participate in program development and quality improvement activities
- Participate in community outreach or remote service delivery as required; maintain patient confidentiality and professional standards

Requirements
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- CCC-SLP credential
- Alaska State Licensure in Speech-Language Pathology
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Pediatric and outpatient experience required
- Ability to work in an outpatient rehabilitation setting; effective communication with patients, families, and team members
- Flu vaccine required
- Background-processing considerations may affect start timing
