Monday's, Tuesday's and Friday's 8:30am - 5pmMake a Difference From the Moment Patients Walk Through the DoorAs a Medical Receptionist, you'll be an essential part of the patient experience and the smooth operation of our clinic. You'll be one of the first people patients encounter, helping them feel welcomed, informed, and cared for while ensuring appointments, records, and clinic communications are handled accurately and efficiently.This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment, and takes pride in providing exceptional service to patients, providers, and colleagues.What You'll DoWelcome patients with professionalism and a friendly, helpful attitude.Check patient photo identification, verify patient information and insurance documentation, and complete registration requirements.Schedule patient examinations and assist with appointment-related questions.Help keep the clinic running smoothly by supporting patient flow and coordinating with clinical and administrative staff.Contact patients to confirm appointments, provide exam preparation instructions, and help ensure they arrive prepared for their visit.Scan and maintain patient documentation in Centricity.Prepare and organize charts for the following day.Print CDs and reports for patients and ensure required Release of Medical Information documentation is obtained.Receive, distribute, and route incoming mail and faxes.Answer incoming calls and direct or transfer calls to the appropriate staff.Respond appropriately to 911 calls and provide clear directions to EMTs when emergency assistance is needed.Work closely with radiologists, clinic staff, referring clinics, and patients to resolve scheduling questions and concerns.Provide backup support for Schedulers, Tech Assistants, and/or Radiology Assistants as needed.Represent and incorporate our company values in every interaction with patients, visitors, providers, and coworkers.Support the clinic with general clerical duties, department supply stocking and ordering, and other operational needs.Assist with training employees when a Senior Receptionist is unavailable.Provide support to other departments and take on additional responsibilities as needed.What Makes This Role ImportantEvery interaction matters in healthcare. Whether you're welcoming a patient, helping someone navigate an appointment, coordinating with a referring clinic, or responding to an urgent call, your work helps create a positive patient experience and keeps our clinic moving forward.If you're organized, dependable, compassionate, and enjoy being part of a team, we'd love to have you join us as a Medical Receptionist.QualificationsWhat You BringWe're looking for a dependable, patient-focused professional who enjoys helping others and thrives in a collaborative healthcare environment.QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required.Previous receptionist, scheduling, or customer service experience in a medical setting is preferred.HUC (Health Unit Coordinator) or related medical administrative certification is a plus.Familiarity with medical terminology is preferred.Strong customer service and patient care skills, with a genuine commitment to creating a positive patient experience.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, referring clinics, coworkers, supervisors, and radiologists.Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks while working both independently and as part of a team.Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.Comfortable using computers, email, keyboarding systems, and medical scheduling software.Demonstrates sound safety awareness and follows safe work practices to help maintain a secure environment for patients and coworkers.What You Can ExpectThis position is primarily based in an office and clinic environment. The role involves periods of sitting, along with occasional bending, stretching, twisting, turning, gripping, and grasping. Regular keyboarding and other repetitive hand and arm movements are part of the position.The ability to occasionally lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds may be required.Our Healthcare EnvironmentWorking in a radiology setting means there may be occasional exposure to conditions commonly associated with healthcare environments, including:Low potential exposure to communicable diseases, blood products, bodily fluids, and other materials associated with a clinical setting.Low potential exposure to ionizing radiation in exam rooms or areas where radiology procedures are performed.Appropriate safety practices and procedures are followed to help protect our patients and team members.
