Assistant Production Supervisor

Job Summary:This position will provide support to Production management with teaching interpersonal, organizational and technical skills to production employees (Temporary and Full Time). Assistant production supervisor will employee operational best practices, continuous improvement techniques, and equipment reliability in accordance with SQF standards.Responsibilities:Plans, organizes, and leads work groups to meet production schedulesResponsible for food safetyMaintains safe working conditions, follows safe work practices and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)Collaborates with leadership team to identify training needs; articulates problem-solving actions and goalsTrains, develop, instruct and motivate employees to achieve maximum efficiency and productivityProvides one-to-one mentoring support to production employeesProvides mechanical support, including troubleshooting equipment and repair, using root cause analysisAnalyzes production methods and processes; provides feedback to improve productivity, reduce costs, improve qualityUnderstands all applicable company policies, standards and procedures; communicates to all employees in area of responsibility to ensure complianceOther duties as assigned include serving as a backup for critical job functions that ensure compliance with SQF,In the occasion(s) when key personnel responsible for designated role is absent, someone of appropriate authority and experience has been assigned to cover their nominated duties to ensure the integrity of the SQF System.Required Knowledge and Skills:Possess basic knowledge of electricity, pneumatics and mechanics (recognize tripped breaker, open fuse, change belts, replace broken or leaking valve, etc.)Must be self-motivatedMust possess exceptional time management and organizational skillsMust possess excellent communication skills and have an attention to detailMust be punctual and dependableSanitation must be a high priorityAbility to stand on feet for entire shiftMust be available to work multiple shiftsSafety Sensitive Position.Education and Experience:Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Supervisor/Team Leader, preferably in a manufacturing environmentPhysical Requirements:Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times. #J-18808-Ljbffr Dutch-Valley
