CTR Group is seeking Outside Machinists with Active Secret Clearance for a Naval Shipyard in Portsmouth, VA. Maintenance and repair of machinery. Your responsibilities will include inspecting, troubleshooting, and performing necessary repairs to ensure the efficient operation of equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect machinery to identify defects and malfunctions
• Perform maintenance, repairs, and overhauls on various types of machinery, including but not limited to engines, pumps, and propulsion systems
• Utilize precision tools and instruments for measurement, calibration, and alignment
• Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
• Collaborate with team members to optimize machinery performance
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completed apprenticeship program or relevant technical training
• Proven experience as an Outside Machinist in an industrial setting
• Must have submarine experience. Share relevant experience in VLS, Weapons Systems, Fairwater Planes, and Sail.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication skills
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry heavy objects
• Stamina and physical strength for prolonged periods of standing and manual labor
• Flexibility to work in various environmental conditions
