The Registered Nurse Manager has accountability and responsibility for the effective and efficient operation of the Post-anesthesia Care Unit. The PACU RN Manager directs and coordinates all functions, including clinical, financial, and human and material resources. In this key leadership role, you promote innovation and excellence in clinical, service, and team performance. What you will do in this role:

• Establish clear unit operational goals and hold staff accountable for their responsibilities and performance.
• Assist the director with the financial management of the unit, including participation in the annual budget process, reviewing monthly budget and variance reports, timely submission of patient billing and charge information, and applying cost containment principals as appropriate.
• Ensure that patient care is delivered in a safe, competent and efficient manner as determined by outcomes, quality monitors, and other internal and external processes.
• Ensure the delivery of quality patient care by analyzing data and initiating and/or participating in performance improvement initiatives.
• Hire, engage, evaluate, coach and retain nursing and support staff.
• Maintain positive employee engagement and provide support, education and leadership to the staff.
• Establish effective working relationships with and round on key constituents (patients, families, employees, and physicians) to enhance communication, confirm alignment, oversee operations and ensure that the patient experience is exceptional.
• Ensure that safety standards are upheld by making decisions and proactively mitigating unnecessary risks in the area of responsibility.
• Maintain all requirements needed to function as a staff RN in order to perform these duties in times of high census and/or minimal staffing.
• Adhere to department productivity measures and manage staffing utilization, staff overtime and non-productive time.
• Ensure all applicable guidelines for accreditation, quality assurance and safe patient care are met.

What Qualifications You Will Need:

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Required
• Currently Licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license
• BLS Certification required
• ACLS Certification required
• 1+ years' experience in healthcare required
• 1+ years of experience in a leadership role preferred
