Step into a rewarding contract position supporting K-8 students as a Special Education Teacher in a vibrant school environment near Strongsville, OH. With three full-time openings available, this role focuses on shaping the educational journey of a caseload of 16 diverse learners at a single school site. You’ll work Monday through Friday, joining a dedicated team committed to fostering student growth and achievement.
Bring your expertise to a role where you’re valued for your professional commitment and personalized approach to instruction. The assignment begins as soon as possible, extending through May 28, 2027, offering ongoing impact and professional growth in a supportive setting.
Desired Qualifications:
- State licensure as an Intervention Specialist preferred
- Experience or willingness to work with K-8 learners
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with families and team members
- Ability to provide Specialized Designed Instruction (SDI) tailored to student needs
- Organizational skills to manage documentation and meetings effectively
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and write Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with student goals
- Facilitate IEP meetings, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and engaged
- Deliver targeted SDI to address individual student learning needs
- Conduct ongoing progress monitoring and maintain accurate reporting
- Collaborate with general education staff and related service providers
- Participate actively in professional development and school initiatives
