Assembler I

We have an outstanding Contract position for an Assembler I to join a leading Company located in the Phoenix, AZ surrounding area.

Job Description

• Performs production-related activities by putting together a wide range of components, from simple to complex subassemblies and assemblies, using common hand and/or power tools per acceptance test guidelines and routing operations.
• Maintains responsibility for proper packing and storing of finished goods where applicable.
• Works in a moderate to fast-paced environment.
• Performs repetitive tasks requiring attention to detail.
• Requires critical adherence to established quality levels while completing tasks within the timeframe and workspace allowed for the assigned task.
• Must be able to stand for 10-hour shifts.
• Adheres to all Safety Policies and Procedures.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.

Skills Required

• Ability to use both hands for manipulating, handling, and constructing required assemblies using basic hand tools and other mechanical processes.
• May be required to move, pull, lift, and horizontally transfer products weighing up to 60 lbs. unaided.
• Ability to read work instructions and work order-specific information and apply them to the task at hand.

Skills Preferred

• Ability to read and comprehend blueprints.
• Experience with general assembly of components is preferred.

Experience Required

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a production/assembly environment and/or technical schooling in related areas, and/or any approved equivalent combination of experience, technical training, and/or education.

Experience Preferred

• Aerospace assembly experience a plus.
