Pipeline TechnicianWe are seeking a talented and collaborative Pipeline Operations Field Technician to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for guiding and supporting the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of our pipeline systems.ResponsibilitiesPromotes compliance with all applicable regulations and group directivesEnsures compliance with all Air Liquide safety and quality mandatesWorks closely with the Manager, Pipeline Regulatory Compliance to ensure system operation and maintenance is accomplished in compliance with all state and federal regulating entitiesCreates and fosters a safety plan and safe work practices for assigned systemsDevelops and tests emergency response and system plansReports and investigates all incidents and ensures corrective/preventive actions are completeWorks with the Pipeline Integrity Manager to maintain pipeline system integrityParticipates in the Management of Change process, Root Cause Analysis, Process Hazard Analysis, Job Activity Plan, Accident Risk Analysis, Pre-Start Up Safety Review, etcEnsures pertinent documentation and affiliated reporting requirements are completed on timeOperates and Maintains the Pipeline Networks Safely and ReliablyMaintains reliable product supply and reliable measurement of pipeline products to customersCommunicates with customers, suppliers, OCC, and management on a regular basis to ensure product accountabilityDevelops an annual operation and maintenance plan for assigned systemsUtilizes MAXIMO for routine work orders, PM's, and PR'sDocuments maintenance history in MaximoCoordinates field operations and maintenance for assigned pipeline systems without interruption of customer product supplyCollaboratively guides all field operations and maintenance activities in assigned systemsTroubleshooting and repairs along pipeline systemsPartners with contractors performing pipeline maintenance and repair, valve and meter repairs, issues with other pipeline companies, ROW maintenance, line locates, dig inspections, etcAssists and directs contractors for line locations, easements, leak detection surveys, and repairs along assigned pipeline systemsEnsures development of, approval of, communication of, and adherence to startup and shutdown procedures for pipeline activitiesPrioritizes and implements improvement projects and required maintenanceWorks with Pipeline Operations Manager to maintain annual budget and cost control of assigned systemsWorks with pipeline construction teams in the development and implementation of capital projects to ensure that pipeline operations needs are metQualifies and maintains vendor relationships for field workDevelops and Leads People Models exemplary safety behavior, leads by personal exampleStrives toward maintaining a zero-accident culture by taking a leadership role in safetySupports and guides the pipeline field supervisors in their areaChampions adherence to administrative and operational policies and proceduresProvides an Air Liquide Presence at Customer Meter InstallationsProvides required customer and management reports regarding calibrations, testing and operationsInterfaces regularly with customers for system design, troubleshooting, meter calibrations, etcNurtures positive, high-quality customer relationshipsTesting, troubleshooting, installation of new equipment, and calibration of billing custody transfer meters and related equipmentAre You a Match?Required QualificationsHigh school diploma required.5 years experience in pipeline operations or a similar industry, with demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience.Candidates must have valid employment authorization in the U.S. and must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future.Ability to work extended hours and shift work as business needs dictateOn call night, weekends and holidays as requiredApproximately 20% travel requiredAbility to safely climb through pipe racks and meter stationsAbility to safely walk relatively long distances over various terrainsAbility to distinguish colors (wiring)Ability to function safely in elevated work areasMust be able to lift 50 lbsMust be able to wear required PPE safety equipment including hardhats, safety glasses, steel toe shoes, FRC clothing, and respiratorPreferred QualificationsPrior experience in the industrial gas industryOur Differences Make Our PerformanceAt Air Liquide, we are committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace that embraces the diversity of our employees, our customers, patients, community stakeholders and cultures across the world.We welcome and consider applications from all qualified applicants, regardless of their background.
