The Role As a Patient Intake Coordinator, you'll be one of the first points of contact for new families starting their care journey. You’ll help them understand next steps, gather required documentation, and ensure everything is submitted properly to keep the process moving forward. You'll also coordinate with internal teams so assessments and authorizations happen on time. This is a detail-driven role with heart—you’ll be the calm, reassuring voice helping families navigate the start of care. What You’ll Do Guide families through the intake process from first call to start of services Send and track intake packets, follow up on missing documents, and ensure paperwork is complete Check insurance eligibility and coordinate internal steps for BCBA assessments Communicate with families regularly to provide updates and support during onboarding Troubleshoot delays and elevate issues when needed to keep the intake pipeline moving What We’re Looking For Prior experience in intake coordination, patient services, or healthcare administration (ABA experience a plus) Strong communicator who’s confident on phone, email, and text Detail-oriented and able to track multiple cases at once without letting anything slip Calm, compassionate, and solutions-focused in fast-paced situations Excited about opportunities to learn and grow with a scaling startup Spanish bilingual a plus Why United Care ABA Competitive pay Newly renovated Brooklyn office Be part of a high-growth team that’s making a real impact Help families access care and make a difference from day one #J-18808-Ljbffr United Care ABA
