UNC Hospitals Department of Audiology is seeking a full-time Clinical Audiologist to provide outpatient diagnostic audiology services across the lifespan at multiple locations, including:
- Orange County: UNC Hospitals Hearing & Voice Clinic at Carolina Crossing
- Chatham County: UNC Hospitals Audiology at Pittsboro
- Wake County: UNC Audiology Services at Cary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced audiologist to provide comprehensive diagnostic audiologic services for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients in a collaborative academic medical center environment. The role will focus on the assessment, diagnosis, and management of hearing and balance disorders through evidence-based audiologic evaluation and patient-centered care. This is a full-time (40 hours/week), daytime position. Strong collaborative communication skills and the ability to work closely with multidisciplinary teams to maximize patient outcomes are essential.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform basic and advanced diagnostic audiologic evaluations across the lifespan
- Conduct behavioral, physiologic, and electrophysiologic assessments as clinically indicated
- Interpret and analyze test results to develop patient-centered treatment recommendations
- Counsel patients and families regarding hearing loss, communication needs, and management options
- Collaborate closely with otolaryngologists and other healthcare professionals in the evaluation and management of hearing and balance disorders
- Participate in student education and clinical training activities as appropriate
Other information:
Education Requirements:
? Graduation from an accredited Audiology program.
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
? Licensed as an Audiologist by the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists.
? BLS within 3 months of hire date.
Professional Experience Requirements:
? Audiologist experience preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements:
? Exhibits effective communication and interprofessional skills
? Ability to work closely with multidisciplinary teams to maximize patient outcomes.
