HVACR Technician I*

The City of Henderson announces an examination to create an eligibility list and to fill two vacancies for the classification of HVACR Technician I in the Department of Public Works. This classification also exists in the Department of Utility Services. The eligibility list may be used to fill vacancies for up to six months or up to a year, depending on employment status. Responsibilities Under general supervision, performs a variety of skilled tasks involved in the installation, troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVACR) systems, and performs related duties as assigned. Qualifications Graduation from high school or the equivalent Completion of an apprenticeship program as an air conditioning and heating mechanic Four (4) years of experience in the repair and maintenance of HVACR systems Equivalent combination of related education, experience, and training may be considered Must obtain and maintain the appropriate OSHA card as defined by the Nevada Revised Statute Must possess and maintain a valid Nevada or "border state" driver’s license Possession of a minimum Type I and II Refrigerant Recovery Certificate as required by Section 608 of the Clean Air Act Must pass a nationwide fingerprint-based record check and warrants check Must complete Security Awareness and NCIC/NCJIS certification within six months of hire and be recertified annually All required licenses and certificates must be obtained and maintained at incumbent’s expense #J-18808-Ljbffr City-of-Henderson,-Nv
