Manager of IT Infrastructure

The Planet Group has partnered with a Cincinnati company to locate an Manager of IT Infrastructure for a full-time role. The Manager of IT Infrastructure will oversee day-to-day operations of our infrastructure environment while leading a team responsible for delivering reliable, scalable, and secure IT services. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with team leadership, ensuring systems are performing optimally while driving projects forward on time and within scope. This is a 100% onsite role. Responsibilities Lead daily IT operations to ensure infrastructure and application initiatives are delivered on time and meet business expectations Collaborate with stakeholders and leadership to define priorities, communicate deliverables, and manage expectations Assign and manage project tasks, track progress, and ensure alignment with timelines and budgets Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management for a technical support team Design, implement, and improve IT processes, procedures, and policies aligned with organizational strategy Oversee network and infrastructure performance, including servers, storage, and virtualization environments Evaluate and recommend hardware, software, and infrastructure solutions to meet evolving business needs Monitor systems for performance, reliability, and security, and lead incident response and recovery efforts Manage system access controls and enforce security best practices Lead business continuity and disaster recovery planning, including testing and validation Oversee procurement and lifecycle management of IT assets Ensure accurate documentation of systems, processes, and procedures Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to systems and workflows Participate in on-call and escalation support as needed Required Qualifications and Experience Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, systems engineering, or technical operations 3+ years of leadership or team management experience Experience with VMware vSphere and virtualization technologies Experience working within ITIL-based ticketing and incident management systems Hands‑on experience with IIS (Internet Information Services) Experience supporting storage area networks (SAN) Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem‑solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across technical and business teams Preferred Skills Experience with VMware Horizon (VDI environments) Experience administering Microsoft Exchange Experience with F5 Big‑IP Background in infrastructure design and architecture Interested candidates can apply by clicking on the link. #J-18808-Ljbffr The Planet Group
