Compliance Lead

Serving as the primary compliance point of contact for Shopify's key banking partner relationships, the full-time remote Compliance Lead will manage compliance obligations, execute core program activities, and develop resources to enhance compliance across financial products. Key responsibilities Manage compliance obligations and maintain strong partnerships with key banking partners Lead core Compliance Program activities, including testing, monitoring, reporting, and audits Develop playbooks and policies to support compliance, sanctions, and AML programs Required qualifications Deep experience in building and executing compliance programs, preferably in a FinTech environment Proven track record in managing external relationships with financial partners and regulators Strong knowledge of AML, KYC, and sanctions compliance frameworks Experience with lending compliance and consumer protection regulations is a plus Hands-on experience with AI or automation tools to improve compliance workflows
