Carriage House Preschool is a nonprofit early childhood program dedicated to providing exceptional learning experiences for children of all abilities. Through hands-on learning, embedded early intervention, and a whole-child approach, we encourage curiosity, social-emotional development, and meaningful connections while supporting each child’s individual needs and strengths.

Located within the same facility as a clinical ABA program for young children with autism, our preschool offers a unique, inclusive setting that promotes full immersion and collaborative support.

We are currently seeking a compassionate and dependable Classroom Assistant to join our preschool team and help create a positive, engaging learning environment for our students.

• Assist the lead teacher with daily classroom activities and lesson preparation
• Supervise children during playtime, learning activities, meals, and rest periods
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment
• Support children’s social, emotional, and educational development
• Encourage positive behavior and model appropriate communication skills
• Assist children with basic self-care tasks such as handwashing, toileting, and dressing
• Observe and report children’s progress, behavior, and concerns to the lead teacher
• Help set up and clean up classroom centers, activities, and learning materials
• Monitor attendance and assist with student check-in and dismissal procedures
• Read stories, lead small-group activities, and provide one-on-one support as needed
• Follow preschool policies, safety procedures, and licensing regulations
• Provide a nurturing, patient, and engaging environment for young children

• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma/GED, or 16+ with proof of current school enrollment
• Ability to understand and follow simple instructions
• Basic recordkeeping skills required
• Must provide a tuberculosis (TB) test or screening certificate
• Must pass background and registry checks with no disqualifying criminal convictions or abuse findings
• Must have a valid Social Security number or work permit if not a U.S. citizen
• Reliable daily transportation to and from work required
