We are a nationally ranked Division I District serving approximately 7,500 Pre-K through grade 12 students, in a vibrant learning community of 17 state of the art buildings in west-central Ohio. As an Systems Software Administrator, you are required to: Associate or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience required 3-5 years of database, network administration, or system administration experience System administration and IT certifications in Linux, Microsoft, or other network related fields are a plus Working knowledge of virtualization, VMWare, and MDM platforms to manage macOS, iOS, iPadOS, and Windows devices or equivalent Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols Experience with scripting and automation tools A proven track record of developing and implementing IT strategy and plans Strong knowledge of implementing and effectively developing helpdesk and IT operations best practices, including expert knowledge of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols As an Systems Software Administrator, you will: Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization Installs and upgrades computer components and software, manage virtual servers, and integrate automation processes Troubleshoots hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues Provides documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure Performs or delegates regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures Responsible for capacity, storage planning, and database performance Possesses knowledge of FERPA, COPPA, CIPA and other various regulations surrounding staff and student data privacy Maintains the confidentiality of privileged information Performs other duties as assigned What We Offer: As a contracted employee, this position is assigned to work 234 days per year and 8 hours per day. Salary details are available within the SASO/SAST Agreement Starting salary is in accordance with the negotiated agreement, increases with experience and education. Contracted employees receive competitive benefits. All employees receive professional development The SASO/SAST agreement and the Board of Education are currently working on a new professional agreement. While that is in the works, please refer to the current agreement as to pay and benefits that are in place for the 2025-26 school year.
