Position Summary:

As a Shipping/Receiving Worker, you'll lift, transport, store, and load materials and products using cranes, hoists, or forklifts. You will play a vital role in the administration of incoming and outgoing shipments, helping to ensure accuracy and efficiency in our logistics process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Compare identifying information and count, weigh, or measure items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify accuracy.
• Maintain records on shipments and prepare items for shipment.
• Direct movement of shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage and work areas.
• Prepare bills of lading and affix shipping labels or stencil shipping information on cartons.
• Assemble containers or select pre-assembled containers, and insert items into containers.
• Coordinate with supervisors to ensure smooth flow of materials or products across departments.
• Review records for accuracy and compliance; assess stock levels.
• Requisition containers and supplies for delivery to work stations.
• Verify and prepare records such as routing slips, material requisitions, and job orders.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds regularly, occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance
• Must be comfortable with physical demands including standing, walking, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
• Strong vision abilities required (close, distance, color, peripheral, depth-perception, and focus).
• Experience with MRP systems, email, spreadsheets, and word processing software.
• Proficient in electronic databases and data entry.
