Senior Project Engineer - Water/Wastewater (Engineer IV)

Description CPH is a multi-disciplined Engineering and Architectural design firm that ranks in the nation’s Top 500 Design Firms by ENR Magazine. CPH is seeking a senior-level PE for an Engineer IV opportunity in Water/Wastewater at our Orlando-Robinson location. Department: Water/Wastewater Location: Orlando, FL Hiring bonus of up to $10,000 for selected candidate. Responsibilities Lead/manage the planning, design, and production of lift stations, pipelines and/or Water/Wastewater treatment systems, overseeing others, providing Project Managers with scopes, ensuring alignment with goals, schedules, and budget. Use team management skills to lead the design group during the conceptual phase of product development following CPH and client’s standards and templates. Direct development of an action plan and estimates resources (labor, materials, and time) required to complete projects. Develop deliverables including plans, design reports and technical specifications. Supervise junior engineers in evaluation of shop drawings, and oversee construction administration duties as the Engineer of Record. Monitor progress of development projects and compare actual costs with estimates. Prepare monthly reports detailing progress and costs for next level management. Work with Project Managers to develop scope and manhour estimates for various projects. Review and study existing equipment, facilities, systems, and processes to improve efficiency, increase quality, and reduce costs. Periodically travel to perform business development, project management, site investigations, and construction observation. Prepare or review subsequent reports and exhibits. Cooperate with other project engineers from other plants to share problems and solutions. Serve as a primary point of contact for internal and external clients. Required Skills/Abilities Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with Deltek Vision and Smartsheet or similar platforms. Ability to effectively lead and inspire a team. Comfortable working and collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team. Excellent oral, written, and organizational skills. Ability to effectively multi-task while adhering to project schedules and budgets. Strict adherence to deadlines. Knowledge of codes and design and construction practices. Detail-oriented, quality-conscious, reliable and self-motivated. Education and Experience B.S. in Civil/Environmental Engineering with a P.E. license in the state of Florida. At least 8+ years of relevant experience in a consulting engineering firm with 2+ years with an active P.E. license. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Strong knowledge of engineering principles, project management and industry standards as it relates to pipeline, lift station, and/or Water/Wastewater facility design. Work Environment The work environment is professional and office-based. The role may require using standard office equipment and overtime to meet deadlines.
