This role offers you the chance to master complex entrance systems within a "True Ohana" culture that values your technical precision. You will be empowered to lead advanced installations and repairs while maintaining our vital 4-hour response commitment across the islands.\nHow You Will Make an Impact:\n\n Install and service a comprehensive range of door types, including automatic, large motorized roll-up, storefront, and fire doors.\n Diagnose complex mechanical and low-voltage electrical issues involving sensors, motors, and advanced control boards.\n Utilize heavy equipment and specialized tools, including telehandlers, welding equipment, and concrete coring tools.\n Coordinate with external vendors to ensure seamless integration of fire alarms and access control systems.\n Mentor Tech 1 and Tech 2 technicians to uphold industry-leading safety and quality standards across the field.\n Execute rigorous quality control checks on all completed work orders to eliminate the need for rework.\n Maintain meticulous service records and parts inventory to support our "Island-Wide Urgency" operational model.\n\nRequired Qualifications & Experience:\n\n Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in commercial door service or installation.\n Proven proficiency in troubleshooting motorized systems and low-voltage components.\n Absolute willingness to travel inter-island up to 50% of the time to support remote clients.\n Demonstrated ability to operate independently with no supervision on complex technical tasks.\n\nPreferred Qualifications & Experience:\n\n AAADM Certification or completion of a specialized Commercial Door trade program.\n 4-8 years of experience as a Door Journeyman (Tech 3 level).\n Certifications in rolling steel, high-speed, and fire-door systems.\n Full heavy-equipment operator certifications, including scissor-lift and forklift.\n\nCompensation & Benefits:\n\n Bi-weekly pay cycle with consistent overtime potential.\n Comprehensive health package including Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance.\n Paid Time Off for holidays, vacation, and sick leave.\n Professional tech package including a company-provided smartphone or tablet.\n Access to company vehicle, relocation assistance, and travel per diem for inter-island work.\n Personal tool replacement program and uniforms provided.\n Paid training for AAADM, welding, and advanced manufacturer certifications.\n\nAbout Us: Island Facility Services is a leader in commercial maintenance, operating with a "True Ohana" culture where "Aloha in Action" is at the heart of everything we do.
