About the Position

Traveler experience accepted; first-time travelers are welcome. Ability to float to different units as required. Ability to work holidays. Description: This position requires a registered nurse specialized in medical-surgical and telemetry care. The nurse will manage patients with various diagnoses, including diabetes, dementia, COVID, pneumonia, and other medical conditions. Responsibilities include interpreting and managing dysrhythmias, administering medications, and performing essential nursing procedures. The nurse will work nights from 18:45 to 07:15, providing care in a fast-paced environment. The nurse will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient care. Experience with electronic documentation and knowledge of the specific medication systems is preferred. The role includes patient education, wound care, and management of IVs, central lines, and various medical devices. The position involves a patient-to-nurse ratio of 6:1. The nurse will participate in emergency response teams as needed. Physical demands of the role include standing for extended periods and lifting patients safely. Candidate must have proficiency in various nursing skills and procedures relevant to the specialty. The contract duration is 16 weeks with potential for extension based on unit needs and performance.
