About the Role
The Company is in search of an Executive Director of Surgical Services to lead one of the largest and most complex surgical enterprises in the region. The successful candidate will be a transformational leader, responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership across a growing perioperative platform. This includes overseeing a significant number of operating rooms, annual surgical cases, and team members across multiple campuses. The role is not about maintaining the status quo; it demands an innovative executive who can drive growth, optimize surgical capacity, strengthen physician partnerships, modernize operations, and leverage emerging technologies to enhance patient access and outcomes. The Executive Director will also be instrumental in shaping the future of surgical care, with a focus on expansion, investment in technology, and regional growth. Applicants for the Executive Director position must have a Master’s degree in a related field and at least 10 years of progressive leadership experience. The ideal candidate will have a background in leading enterprise surgical or perioperative services across multiple hospitals, with a proven track record in strategic growth planning, physician alignment, capital planning, and large-scale healthcare operations. The role requires a leader who can define and execute enterprise strategies, establish surgical service line priorities, and lead a large team to achieve operational excellence. Collaboration with executive and physician leaders, as well as a commitment to quality, patient safety, and compliance, is essential. The Executive Director will also be responsible for developing and maintaining strategic partnerships and monitoring performance metrics to ensure continuous improvement in quality, efficiency, and patient satisfaction.
