RN Nurse Supervisor IMCU FT Night

Join this extraordinary opportunity to be part of our latest expansion at Baylor University Medical Center. You get to play a pivotal role in shaping the patient care standards and clinical culture of this new unit. This unit will be an intermediate care unit that cares for a patient population of increased levels of acuity. In this department, you will have the exciting opportunity to care for a wide spectrum of patient populations that meet criteria for intermediate care. You will interact and work alongside dedicated intensivist, advanced practice providers, and a complete multidisciplinary team that promotes academic shared learning and career growth. Estimated timeline: Start dates in June to late summer. Open this unit in the fall of 2025.

Job summary: Your role as nursing supervisor involves supervising healthcare professionals and ensuring high patient care levels. Maintain a safe environment and nurture nursing practice to improve patient outcomes. Oversee operations, productivity, and resource distribution to meet department priorities.

Essential functions of the role: Working closely with members from different professional fields to ensure coordinated patient care. Assessing how effective the nursing practices are and infusing practices and research discoveries that are evidence-based. Fostering a caring and outcome-promoting environment. Encouraging development and opening up growth opportunities for staff members. Efficiently managing resources to promote safety within the healthcare system.

Key success factors: A solid understanding of nursing standards and patient care procedures. Superb communication abilities and expertise in creating and assessing patient care plans. Familiarity with basic computer operations and diverse medical and office software applications.
