Physical Therapist

Physical Therapist Location: Miles City, Montana Qualifications Graduate of an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) approved physical therapy program. Current license from the state Board of Physical Therapy Examiners. Ability to be licensed within the State of Montana. Hours and Compensation Full time, 5 days a week, 8 hour shifts (typically 8am-4:30pm). Some on call and weekend coverage. Variety of patients ranging from inpatient, outpatient, schools and outreach; will see all ages. Range between $83,000-$122,000 plus full benefits and a relocation/sign-on package. Job Responsibilities Carry out an individualized program of physical therapy including assessment, treatment, planning, implementation, education, and communication to maximize a patient's progress toward achieving functional goals. Maintain a positive working relationship with other health professionals and ancillary staff. Provide direct patient care, evaluate functional needs and outcomes, and consult with other specialists. Review patients' functional needs and adjust care plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Design and implement a plan of care for patients based on a thorough assessment of potential development and incorporate participation by significant others whenever it seems appropriate. Conduct therapy practice within defined standards of care. Direct the assistance of support staff to achieve patients' functional goals. Communicate effectively with other professional and support staff to achieve positive patient outcomes. Practice hospital and departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality improvement program, safety, environmental, and infection control standards. Document evaluations, treatment goals, and plans. Regularly update documentation and maintain prescriptions and signatures. Enhance professional growth and development of self and others through participation in educational programs, in-service meetings, and workshops. Keep up to date on professional literature. Provide direction and leadership to staff and act as a resource to promote physical therapy in the community. Additional Information Facility is a 25 bed critical access hospital.
