About the Role:
We are seeking an Audit Staff with, or in the process of, obtaining CPA credentials to work on attestation engagements, including audits, reviews, and compilations.

Responsibilities:

• Perform audit, review, and compilation engagements for a diverse client portfolio
• Assist in planning and executing audit procedures in accordance with GAAS standards
• Prepare and analyze financial statements and supporting workpapers
• Identify and communicate audit findings, risks, and recommendations to senior staff
• Conduct client interviews and gather documentation to support audit evidence
• Maintain accurate and organized audit files and documentation throughout engagements
• Collaborate with audit team members to meet engagement deadlines and deliverables

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• 2 - 3 years audit, review, compilation, and accounting experience - commercial, non-profit sectors and benefit plan audit experience a plus; public accounting preferred
• Well-rounded knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS) and Statement of Standards of Accounting and Review Services (SSARS)
• Knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping software including, but not limited to, QuickBooks and Engagement; experience in the private sector acceptable
• Good oral and written communications skills
• Holds either a current and valid CPA license or eligible to take California CPA exam
• Must be eligible to work in the United States
