Vice President of FinanceReady is entering a pivotal phase of growth and is seeking a Vice President of Finance to partner closely with the CEO and executive team to shape our financial strategy as we scale into our next chapter. This leader will build the systems, discipline, and capital strategy necessary to support significant company expansion and future liquidity opportunities.This role is both strategic and operational. You will establish the financial foundation required to scale a venture-backed SaaS business while preparing the company for the rigor, transparency, and execution required of a public company.As the VP of Finance, you will be a core architect of Ready's future — owning capital strategy, investor engagement, financial operations, governance, and IPO execution. You will help translate our ambitious vision into disciplined execution while ensuring we scale responsibly and credibly in the eyes of investors, partners, and regulators.This role is Bay Area–based, operating in a remote-first environment with frequent travel required for executive collaboration, investor meetings, and key company moments.About your role at ReadyYou will serve as both a strategic partner and a hands-on builder, responsible for guiding Ready through hyper-growth and into the public markets.Key outcomes and responsibilities include:Lead Ready's financial strategy and long-term capital planning through SPAC IPO execution targeted for 2027Own and maintain the company's capitalization table, equity administration, option plans, and investor ownership records while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and audit readinessOwn IPO/SPAC readiness including financial reporting maturity, controls, governance, and public-company infrastructurePartner with the CEO on fundraising, investor relations, and capital markets strategyBuild scalable finance, accounting, FP&A, and compliance functions aligned with rapid growthEstablish forecasting, KPI frameworks, and operating discipline across the organizationPrepare and manage S-1/SPAC documentation, audits, and public reporting requirementsDevelop relationships with banks, auditors, legal partners, and institutional investorsGuide executive decision-making through rigorous financial insight and strategic modelingSupport M&A evaluation, strategic partnerships, and long-range corporate planningHelp shape Ready's leadership culture as a trusted executive partnerManage current team of AP/AR, accountants, etc.This is not a maintenance VP, Finance role — we are looking for a leader excited to build, scale, and take a company public.A bit about youRequired experienceProven experience serving as a senior finance executive at a venture-backed companyDirect experience leading or playing a key leadership role in an IPO or SPAC transactionDeep understanding of capital markets, investor relations, and public company reportingExperience scaling financial operations in a high-growth startup environmentStrong operational mindset — comfortable moving between strategy and executionDemonstrated ability to partner closely with founders and executive teamsExceptional communication skills with investors, boards, and cross-functional leadersBased in or willing to relocate to the San Francisco Bay AreaNice to haveExperience working with federal or government marketsBackground supporting companies selling into regulated or public-sector environmentsExperience in a hardware or deep-tech company alongside software/SaaS operationsPrior SPAC transaction experienceAbout ReadyCreative problem solvers approaching a legacy industry with a new point of view Humble but ambitious, knowledgeable but curious, persistent but not obnoxious Concise and effective in written and spoken communication Comfortable working remotely One team, one dreamAbout what you get…Competitive salary plus meaningful equity upside; salary range is $275,000-$325,000Executive-level equity aligned with IPO outcomesCompetitive (and ever expanding) benefits for employees and dependentsRemote-first work environment with Bay Area executive presenceA chance to play a defining role in taking Ready publicTo get away — we all convene 1–2x a year for Company retreatsThe charter to realize a market set to receive $65B+ in U.S. grant fundingEqual Employment OpportunityAt Ready, we believe that the best ideas come from people with different backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives.
