Required Skills:

Valid medical license in Virginia or eligibility to obtain one
Board-certified or board-eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology or Family Medicine with OB specialization
Exceptional clinical judgment and strong communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a hospital setting
Proficiency in managing high-risk obstetric cases and emergency situations

Nice to Have Skills:

Experience in a hospital-based obstetric practice
Prior locum tenens or temporary assignment experience
Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems
Bilingual abilities or proficiency in additional languages

Preferred Education and Experience:

MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
Minimum of 3 years of obstetric practice or relevant experience
Certifications in Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) are highly desirable

Other Requirements:

Active medical licensure in Virginia or eligibility to obtain licensure
Certification and/or experience in managing obstetric emergencies
Willingness to travel to North Chesapeake, VA, for the duration of the assignment
Compliance with all hospital, state, and federal healthcare standards
