Financial Analyst

Airbus is a leading company in aerospace manufacturing. This role is for a Financial Analyst at Airbus Aerosystems Kinston located in Kinston, NC. Job Description Performs financial analysis of various administration projects and business performance. Plans and supports financial analysis assignments, recommends and implements changes in analysis and budgetary methods and procedures. Analyzes and interprets financial data. Prepares financial reports. Provides senior management with information on all areas of revenue and cost variances. Participates in special projects, preparing financial data as necessary. Your Challenges Data Analysis and Reporting – 70% of time: Business partner to functional leaders, review expenses, cost reports, analyze variances, and implement continuous improvement of financial reporting. Month End Close and Audit – 20%: Supports accounting month‑end close, reconciles actuals, ensures adherence to processes, assists with on‑site audits, and validates purchase orders against budgets. Other Duties – 10%: Additional financial responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field. 2–5 years of finance and/or accounting experience. Strong analytical skills and ability to make independent recommendations. Ability to explain variances for key performance indicators. Strong understanding of income statement and balance sheet, preferably in a manufacturing context. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging senior executives and internal staff. Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google suite. Limited travel ( Preferred SAP experience. Citizenship Authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship. Employment Type US – Direct Hire (Professional level, Flexible remote type).
