Exciting opportunity for skilled Sign Language Interpreters to make a lasting difference for students who are deaf or hard-of-hearing in a supportive school setting for the 2026–2027 academic year. Two full-time, onsite positions are available to facilitate communication and enable access to classroom learning and school activities. You’ll play a vital role fostering inclusivity and helping students thrive by bridging language gaps and building connections across the school community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation for students throughout the school day
- Interpret instruction during classes, assemblies, meetings, and extracurricular events
- Facilitate communication between students, teachers, staff, and peers
- Prepare for assignments by reviewing instructional materials and collaborating with school personnel
- Uphold confidentiality per FERPA and district standards
- Maintain professional standards and adhere to ethical educational interpreting guidelines
Qualifications Sought:
- Holds or is eligible for a Colorado Educational Interpreter Authorization (State Department of Education)
- Associate’s degree or higher in Educational Interpreting, ASL, or a related area
- EIPA Written Examination successfully completed
- EIPA Performance Score of 3.5+ OR current RID (Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf) Certification
- Meets all state and district employment requirements, including background screening
- Demonstrates strong ASL proficiency; prior educational interpreting experience preferred
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
Position Details:
- Full-time, onsite role
- Monday–Friday schedule, following the district’s academic calendar
- Contract employment for the 2026–2027 school year
