Job Details Position: Medical Surgical Floor Nurse Specialization: Medical Surgical Location: [Location] Shift: Nights, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week Certification Requirements: BLS (American Heart Association), NIHSS Education and Experience: Valid nursing license, minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience Responsibilities include caring for patients with diagnoses such as CHF, COPD, cellulitis, R/O, cholecystitis, appendicitis, pneumonia, urosepsis, and AKI. RN must be comfortable with an assigned ratio of 1:6/7. Unit features include telemonitoring, PCT support, and EPIC charting system. Floating: Float rotation may be required based on census and external traveler status. Shift notes: 12-hour night shifts, weekends scheduled as needed, usually half of total weekends. Additional Notes: Nurse aides (PCTs) on the unit, no vent support, intermittent BiPAP, no tele on the unit.
