Plant Manager Opportunity At Piston AutomotivePiston Automotive is seeking a Plant Manager for our Auburn Hills, MI new facility launch! This facility will support General Motors. The Plant Manager is a critical thinker (independent thinking) who will direct and manage all plant operations with overall responsibilities for Production, Maintenance, Quality, HR, Finance, IT and all other production-related activities within the site. This position manages all employees in the plant and is responsible for their performance management, with input from other functional leaders, on an annual basis. Finance, Engineering or a related fieldA minimum of eight (8) years of experience managing in a union environment.Eight years of experience leading salaried employeesA minimum of eight (8) years of experience with: Lean Manufacturing Principles 5-S Kanban Kaizen Poka-Yoke Six Sigma Root Cause AnalysisMust be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 poundsVision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and color vision. PREFERRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:Automotive industry experienceSix Sigma Black Belt certificationLean Manufacturing certification
