Actuarial Analyst

Actuarial Analyst Experience Required: 5+ Years Must have technical/functional skills. Must have completed a minimum of 3 exams from CASACT or other relevant actuarial societies. Must have P&C insurance experience. State filing experience with DOI for personal lines of insurance is preferred. Bachelor's degree; 5 years of related actuarial/business/analytical experience may be substituted for the degree. Demonstrated competency with actuarial, mathematical, and statistical techniques to support fact‑based decision‑making. Intermediate knowledge of data analysis tools, data visualization, and developing analysis queries and procedures in Python, SQL, or other analysis software, plus the ability to connect external insights to business problems. Roles & Responsibilities Understand and analyze assigned state and complete the state filing process, including developing rates, trend analysis, revising rates, preparing documentation for DOI, obtaining sign‑off from Lead Actuary, and coordinating responses to DOI objections. Independently apply complex technical and actuarial methodologies to complete unstructured projects. Select and ensure quality of data used to perform trend analysis, translate business problems into technical requirements, run required models, and interpret and communicate results to support business activities while maintaining a strong control environment with guidance from a Director of the respective Line of Business. Utilize actuarial, mathematical, or statistical techniques to augment actuarial work product. Apply understanding of supported products, stakeholder needs, and industry trends to solve unstructured business problems. Ensure risks associated with business activities are identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.
