Metrology Technician I

ICON seeks a Metrology Technician I to perform calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment supporting clinical research operations. The role requires documenting activities per GLP standards, troubleshooting equipment issues, and collaborating with laboratory staff in Lenexa, Kansas.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine calibration, maintenance, and repairs of laboratory instruments per established protocols and standards
- Document calibration activities and maintain accurate records compliant with GLP and regulatory requirements
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and implement corrective actions to maintain optimal performance
- Collaborate with laboratory personnel to support equipment needs and ensure timely availability for research
- Stay updated on metrology practices and advancements to enhance measurement accuracy
Requirements
- Associate's degree in metrology, engineering technology, or related field; bachelor's degree preferred
- Entry-level experience in calibration or metrology in laboratory setting or relevant coursework
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Good communication skills and collaborative work style
- Commitment to quality and safety standards in metrology activities
