User Support Specialist

The primary purpose of the Systems Support Specialist is to provide support and maintenance to all computer hardware and applications that serve the County.Responsible for day-to-day operations of computer support and maintenance. Answer all helpdesk calls. Perform user account creation and access management using Microsoft Active Directory Services. Software/Hardware/Network configuration and troubleshooting. Printer/peripheral delivery and installation. Prepare workstations for new deployments. Prepare user profiles for all team members. Migrate data from old to new computers. Incident management by use of IT ticketing/work order system. Thoroughly document issues and any changes made to Information Technology Systems within the IT tracking system to be referenced when needed. Work with stake holders on hardware/application change requests and communicate project status to required parties. Maintain inventory of all IT equipment. Knowledge of computer hardware/software and related information technology devices. Strong knowledge of Office 365 applications. Experience providing technical support over the phone and recording details into an IT ticketing system such as BMC Track-It. Experience supporting and maintaining Microsoft Active Directory Services. Experience in the configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of network switching equipment. Demonstrated ability to independently resolve problems through system analysis and/or troubleshooting procedures This is a part-time position limited to 20 hours per week in person. #J-18808-Ljbffr Hertford County
