Hours per Week:  36

Candidate Pay Rate:  $49 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-acuity care to pediatric patients in the PICU
• Monitor vital signs and respond swiftly to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and perform essential procedures such as IV starts and blood draws
• Collaborate with intensivists, respiratory therapists, and the full care team to deliver excellent outcomes
• Educate families and support them through every step of their child's journey

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Kansas or compact license
• Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital PICU experience
• BLS and PALS certifications required
• CRRT experience preferred
• APHON certification is a plus
• Pediatric teaching hospital experience welcomed

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills in pediatric intensive care
• Comfort working with Meditech and CPN electronic medical records
• Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced teaching hospital environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
