Overview:

• In-person
• Corcoran, CA or Delano, CA
• Monday - Friday, 8am-4:30pm

Responsibilities:

• Conduct nutritional assessments of inmates to determine dietary needs and restrictions
• Develop personalized meal plans for inmates based on their health conditions, dietary requirements, and preferences
• Monitor food service operations to ensure compliance with dietary guidelines and regulations
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to plan and modify menus to meet nutritional standards
• Provide nutrition education and counseling to inmates on topics such as healthy eating habits, disease management, and weight management
• Evaluate food quality, portion sizes, and meal presentation to ensure adherence to nutritional guidelines
• Review and analyze inmate medical records to assess nutritional risks and develop appropriate interventions
• Work closely with healthcare professionals, such as doctors and nurses, to coordinate care for inmates with special dietary needs or medical conditions
• Stay updated on the latest research and developments in nutrition and dietetics to provide evidence-based recommendations
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to nutritional assessments, interventions, and outcomes for each inmate.

Qualifications:

• No experience required but 6 months preferred!
• Valid CPR/BLS Card from the American Heart Association
• Proof of negative TB test within the past year
• Physical exam results from the last year
• Up-to-date immunization records
• Ability to pass a background check
