This high-impact position involves executing strategic business development plans, identifying new opportunities, and fostering strong relationships with clients to achieve revenue targets and enhance market share.Duties and ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement comprehensive business development strategies aligned with DSV’s goals.Identify target markets, industries, and potential clients through market analysis.Prospect, research, and identify potential clients via networking, cold calls, and market research.Build and nurture relationships with key decision-makers and influencers.Collaborate with clients to understand their logistics needs and tailor solutions accordingly.Serve as the primary point of contact for client inquiries and proposals.Conduct market assessments and feasibility studies for potential clients.Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.Prepare compelling proposals, presentations, and contracts that are profitable and sustainable.Set revenue targets and sales goals for business development initiatives.Monitor performance, track progress, and implement corrective actions as needed.Develop and execute strategies to exceed revenue and growth targets.Work closely with operations, marketing, and other internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery.Align solutions with client needs and company objectives for maximum impact.Educational background / Work experienceBachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.7 years of experience in account management or business development within the supply chain or logistics industry is preferred.Skills & CompetenciesFinancial acumen with the ability to manage budgets and drive profitability.Proven experience in account management and leadership roles.Strong understanding of logistics, supply chain management, and industry best practices.Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute complex account plans.Excellent problem-solving and negotiation skills.Language skillsFluency in English is required.Computer LiteracyProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Information regarding DSV’s benefits offerings, including eligibility, coverage options, and plan details, is available through the DSV Benefits Showcase.
