Location: East Hampton, MA (On-Site)
Salary: $100,000-$120,000 + Performance Bonus + Excellent Benefits + 401(k)

We're looking for an experienced Purchasing Manager to take ownership of our purchasing and inventory operations. This is an opportunity to join a stable, privately owned manufacturing company where you'll have the autonomy to improve processes, strengthen supplier relationships, and ensure the materials our production team needs are always available.

What You'll Do


As our Purchasing Manager, you'll lead all purchasing activities and own inventory planning to keep production running efficiently.

Responsibilities include:

• Own purchasing and inventory management for the business.
• Ensure materials are available to meet production schedules.
• Manage inventory levels while balancing cost and service.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, and delivery commitments.
• Monitor supplier performance and resolve supply issues quickly.
• Identify new suppliers and reduce supply chain risk.
• Improve purchasing processes and ERP/MRP utilization.
• Develop reporting and metrics to support better business decisions.
• Partner closely with Operations, Quality, Engineering, and Finance.
• Lead and develop one purchasing team member.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of purchasing or supply chain leadership experience in manufacturing.
• Strong inventory planning and materials management experience.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems.
• Ability to prioritize competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• A hands-on leader who enjoys taking ownership and driving improvements.
