About the Position

Registered Nurse (RN) – IMC / PCU / Stepdown

Contract | Night Shift | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a combined Med/Surg and PCU/Stepdown unit, managing both acuity levels within the same setting
• Care for a heavy cardiac patient population including 2- to 4-day post-operative CABG and valve surgery patients, as well as patients following TAVRs, heart ablations, and heart catheterizations
• Operate Alaris IV pumps and Phillips monitors in the delivery of patient care
• Maintain staffing ratios of 1:4 for PCU patient assignments and 1:5 for Medical/Surgical patient assignments
• Float to Telemetry and Med/Surg units as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in Nebraska or compact state eligibility
• Current BLS certification required
• Experience in PCU, Stepdown, IMC, or a comparable acute care setting
• Ability to float between Telemetry and Med/Surg units

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience caring for post-operative cardiac surgery patients (CABG, valve repair/replacement)
• Familiarity with TAVR, cardiac ablation, and heart catheterization patient populations
• Experience with Alaris IV pumps and Phillips monitoring systems
• Telemetry or cardiac step-down nursing background
