Working together, let’s put our time and talents together to advance human health for tomorrow.Learn about the Danaher Business System which makes everything possible.The Senior Buyer is responsible for managing Kanban ordering process, this is also a broad-based role incorporating supplier communications, negotiation, document preparation, records management, financial administration, inventory management, new product introduction, and general problem solving. This position reports to the Supply Chain Manager and is part of the Manufacturing teamlocated in San Jose and will be an on-site role.In this role, you will have the opportunity to:Support complex Electro/Mechanical supply chain and inventory management systemPlan inventory levels, locations, and execute all forecasting and planning programsIdentify and execute of inventory reduction / cost reduction projectsBe a champion for material processes. Promote problem solving around On Time Delivery misses daily, work to implement effective countermeasures, negotiate with Suppliers, and provide feedback to affected parties on delivery challenges.The essential requirements of the job includeBachelors degree with 2+ years' experience Purchasing and working with supply chain and inventory management systems (i.e., KANBAN, MRP, Oracle or similar inventory system, plus Advanced skills in Microsoft Products).Excellent organizational skills and strong communication across teams and upwards through the organization.Proven track record to prioritize multiple tasks and assignments.Beckman Coulter Life Sciences, a Danaher operating company, offers a broad array of comprehensive, competitive benefit programs that add value to our lives. This range may be modified in the future.This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.We offer comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.Note: No amount of pay is considered to be wages or compensation until such amount is earned, vested, and determinable.
