We are seeking a Senior Buyer to support procurement and supply chain operations for a growing defense and electronics manufacturing organization. This individual will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, issuing and tracking purchase orders, expediting materials, resolving shortages, and ensuring materials are delivered on time to support manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage supplier relationships and negotiations.

• Issue and track purchase orders effectively.

• Expedite materials and resolve any shortages promptly.

• Ensure timely delivery of materials to support manufacturing operations.

• Work closely with the manufacturing supply chain to optimize operations.

Essential Skills

• 3+ years of purchasing experience in electronics manufacturing.

• Strong MRP systems experience, with Sage preferred.

• Proficiency in Excel.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

• Experience in defense or aerospace industries highly preferred.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience purchasing electronic components.

• Ability to support manufacturing operations effectively.

• Experience in fast-paced production environments.

• Positive attitude, team player, and flexibility.

• Willingness to jump in wherever needed and operate with minimal supervision.

Work Environment

The role requires working onsite 5 days per week at the Sunnyvale manufacturing and operations site, which has approximately 40 employees. The company is a defense contractor supporting government programs, with approximately 100 employees company-wide. It offers a small-team, hands-on environment that is part of a growing organization.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Sunnyvale, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $57.69/hr.
