Overview
Registered Nurse, Emergency Department (ER) needed for a travel assignment in Utica, New York. Start date 09/21/2026 for 16 weeks. Weekly pay ranges from $2,181 to $2,294 with guaranteed hours of 36 per week. Shift pattern is 2x3 days. Assignments occur in a hospital-based emergency department unit and use EPIC for documentation.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate nursing care to ED patients across the age spectrum (neonates to geriatrics) with focus on acute care needs such as stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure
- Conduct rapid assessments, triage, continuous monitoring, and timely administration of medications and therapies per protocol; support patient flow and disposition planning
- Collaborate with physicians, specialty teams, nurses, technicians, and case management; assist with charge nurse duties as needed
- Document thoroughly in EPIC; perform accurate medication reconciliation, vital signs, and reassessments; manage equipment such as Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun
- Float to designated ED areas as required; provide patient and family education and coordinate with ancillary services

Requirements
- Active NY RN license; Nursys license verification on file; all RN licenses active and accessible; RTO (time off) requests must be included at submission
- Certifications: AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS; TNCC must be in hand
- Experience: 2+ years ED experience with some pediatric exposure; documented travel nursing experience required; local candidates within 75 miles may receive local-rate considerations
- EMR: Proficient with EPIC
- License/ID: Driver’s license with address matching demographics
- Ability to work in a dynamic ED environment and float to other ED areas as needed
