Position: Certified Medical Assistant (Pulmonary)

Location: Seattle, WA

Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (08:00 AM - 05:00 PM)

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant (MA-C) to join our team in a Pulmonary Clinic. This position offers the opportunity for contract-to-hire based on performance.

Responsibilities:

Vital Signs: Measure height, weight, and vital signs including pulse oximetry.
Patient Preparation: Record patient history, medications, and allergies.
Procedure Assistance: Set up and assist with procedures such as nebulizer treatments.
Injections: Administer immunizations and intramuscular injections.
Specimen Collection: Label specimens and assist with sputum collection.
Laboratory Tests: Conduct basic laboratory tests, including strep testing.
Office Duties: Manage authorization forms, prepare charts, process pharmacy calls, and handle patient refill requests.
Medication Administration: Administer medications and conduct follow-up phone calls.
Patient Rooming: Efficiently room patients and provide assistance as needed.

Qualifications:

Must hold a valid Certified Medical Assistant (MA-C) certification.
Minimum of 6 months experience as a Medical Assistant in an adult outpatient or pulmonary clinic setting; 1 year preferred.
Proficient in collecting and recording vital signs.
Experienced in patient interaction and clinical support tasks.
Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical record system is required.

Clinic Details:

Type of Facility: Pulmonary Clinic
Patient Age Group: Adults
Daily Patient Census: Approximately 20 visits per day
Supported Special Procedures: 6-minute walk testing, spirometry, FeNO testing

Work Environment:

No weekend or on-call shifts required.
Stable work schedule: Monday to Friday, from 08:00 AM to 05:00 PM.
No floating between locations; work will be conducted at the same clinic daily.
