Per Diem Pharmacist | Niles, Michigan

A per diem pharmacist position is available to provide home infusion pharmacist coverage for a closed-door home infusion setting. The assignment runs from March 30 to April 6, with weekday hours from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Responsibilities include verifying and preparing prescriptions for shipment, communicating with patients regarding upcoming orders, and assisting in the management of pharmacy technicians. The volume involves handling approximately 30 packages per week, with each package containing 5 to 15 prescriptions. Support staff includes one full-time and one part-time technician to assist in daily operations. The software utilized for prescription management is PioneerRx.

Qualifications:

Active and clear Michigan Pharmacist license
Minimum of 2 years of pharmacist experience, with a preference for home infusion practice
Ability to manage and support pharmacy technician staff
Strong communication skills to engage effectively with patients regarding their orders

Schedule:

Monday through Friday
9:00 AM to 5:00 PM

This opportunity offers hands-on experience in a specialized, closed-door home infusion environment with a supportive staff. Candidates with a strong background in home infusion pharmacy are encouraged to apply. This position is per diem and requires availability during the specified coverage dates.
